Greg Janoff Exits Merlin Media
Merlin Media EVP of Revenue Greg Janoff has exited and is no longer with the company. Janoff had joined Randy Michaels at Merlin Media in June 2011 after 14 years with CBS Radio in New York in management positions. He was among the latest Merlin New York layoffs after the company entered into an agreement to sell Alternative WRXP-FM, New York, to CBS Radio, which has now begun an LMA of 101.9 FM and flipped it to a simulcast of Sports Talk WFAN-AM. Merlin had brought back the Alternative format and the WRXP-FM call letters after ending the ill-fated "FM News" format it had launched as WEMP-FM. Janoff says that Merlin "had an exciting vision" and he's "grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it."
