Entercom and Glassnote Sign Music Licensing Deal

Entercom Communications and Glassnote Entertainment Group have signed a music licensing agreement to "align their business interests and accelerate growth and innovation in digital radio to the benefit of music fans and radio listeners everywhere." Glassnote will become the second record company to directly participate, along with its artists, in Entercom's over-the-air broadcast radio revenues. Glassnote artists who will benefit from the agreement include Phoenix, The Temper Trap, Two Door Cinema Club, Mumford & Sons, Givers, Childish Gambino, Oberhofer, Daughter, Robert DeLong, Little Green Cars and Flight Facilities. Entercom and Big Machine Label Group announced a similar deal in September. Glassnote also signed a music royalty sharing agreement with Clear Channel in September. Says Entercom President and CEO David Field, "This agreement between Glassnote and Entercom represents another important step forward to establishing a new business model that aligns the interests of artists, labels, radio and listeners. We look forward to working closely with Daniel Glass and his team and their artists, including Grammy nominees Mumford & Sons in the years to come." Glassnote Entertainment Group's founder and CEO Daniel Glass says, "David Field and his programming team lead by Pat Paxton, share our vision and philosophy that Radio and Music should naturally complement each other and work hand and hand," said "We both have ambitious plans for the growth of our companies and great respect for Artists and their Music. We are excited to be working towards the same goals in our future endeavors. We respect the level of programming and taste of the Entercom Communications and look forward to a great future together."
