Kevin Weatherly Re-Ups With CBS Radio

Kevin Weatherly has signed a new multi-year contract renewal to remain SVP of Programming for CBS Radio. He will also continue to serve as VP of Programming for CBS Radio Los Angeles and direct Program Director of KROQ-FM, "97.1 Amp Radio" KAMP-FM and "93.1 Jack FM" KCBS-FM, and will also play an instrumental role in the launch of new music stations and the evolution of established brands within CBS Radio. Weatherly, who has been with CBS Radio and KROQ for 20 years, has been recognized many times for his achievements in the radio industry. "I’m thrilled to renew our commitment to Kevin who has been an integral part of CBS Radio for the last two decades," says CBS Radio President/CEO Dan Mason. "It goes without saying that he is one of the most influential and respected programmers in the music industry today. Clear Channel Connections Sales Group Announces New Regional Structure

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announces that Connections, a group within the company’s National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships division that focuses on expanding alliances with national advertisers and partners, will be organized into three dedicated regions. Laura Hagen will join the division as SVP of Connections for the East Region, Kristina Lutz will join as SVP of Connections for the Central Region and Adrienne Pabst has been named SVP of Connections for the West Region. Hagen, Lutz and Pabst will report to Greg Glenday, President of Connections for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. These appointments and the new organization within the Connections group will provide dedicated focus and resources to help leverage Clear Channel’s unparalleled assets for advertisers in each region. The new organization of the Connections group will align with Clear Channel’s unified National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships strategy led by Tim Castelli, which allows the division to pursue national multi-platform marketing initiatives that meet advertisers’ need to reach – and engage – consumers in powerful new ways. The National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships division ensures the close integration of all Clear Channel sales platforms, including Digital Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Connections, Radio Sales and Premiere Networks Sales.

Hagen will bring more than 15 years of media sales experience to her new role as SVP of Connections East and will work with VPs Chris Hassan and Khartoon Ohan to spear-head new innovative campaigns for large advertisers based on the East Coast. She will join CCME from the NBC News Advertising Sales division where she most recently served as General Manager of Brand Solutions. She will join the company beginning February 11, and will be based out of New York City.

Effective immediately, Lutz will become the SVP for the new Connections Central Region office located in Chicago and will oversee all large advertisers and partners located in the region. Lutz, a 21-year media sales and advertising veteran, joins Clear Channel from Starcom USA where she most recently served as SVP and Activation Director, leading the effort to turn media investments and content partnerships into transformative and immersive consumer experiences for clients such as Bank of America. Newly appointed Gayle O'Carroll and Chris Baskin will join CCME as VPs of Connections for the Central Region and will report to Lutz. Also, Britt Levine will join Erin Collier as VP of Connections West. Levine was promoted from within Clear Channel and previously served as Sales Manager. Levine will report directly to Adrienne Pabst, SVP of Connections West.




Joe McCollum Named Clear Channel Philadelphia Director/Media Integration

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Philadelphia appoints Joe McCollum as Director of Media Integration, effective immediately. McCollum previously was Director of Promotions for CCME’s six Philadelphia radio stations. The promotion is in conjunction with the unveiling of the new Media Integration Department. "The Media Integration Department will provide a more streamlined internal work flow between our promotion, marketing, digital and social networking efforts thus allowing us to elevate and optimize our assets to showcase the power and reach of CCME Philadelphia," says Clear Channel Philadelphia Market President Richard Lewis. "With Joe’s experience and leadership skills, he is a great candidate to lead these efforts." Philadelphia Operations Manager Brian Check adds, "We’re really excited about Joe’s new role within the Philadelphia market. His strong understanding of the six Clear Channel radio brands, his proven success in promotions as well as his extraordinary skills with event production, our websites and social networking make him an invaluable part of our senior team and the perfect person to head up M.I.D." And McCollum tells us, "I am beyond honored and humbled by the opportunity to lead the charge on this new initiative for CCME Philadelphia. I am also privileged to lead the tremendous group of individuals that are the heart and soul of our organization in Philly and am excited to grow, elevate and expand our powerhouse radio brands in the Philly market and beyond." McCollum started as an intern for Clear Channel's "Q102" WIOQ-FM in 2001. He moved up to Assistant Promotion Director for "Q102" and then was promoted to Promotion Director. McCollum also served as Internet Content Manager before moving up to Promotions Director for the Clear Channel Philadelphia cluster. Along with the new assignment for McCollum, Stacey Thomas will become the Media Integration Specialist, a newly-created position which will focus on the station’s event efforts and Janine Brunson will also take on the position of a Media Integration Specialist focusing on the cluster’s contesting and listeners experiences.




Justin Cole Joins Premiere Networks as Director of Country Programming

Country format veteran Justin Cole joins Premiere Networks in the newly-created position Director of Country Programming. Cole will be based in Nashville overseeing the day-to-day operations of all of Premiere's Country shows, along with a variety of specials. He will also work with John Weber on the annual CMA Awards broadcast, and will work with Rick Murray for Clear Channel Country station promotions. This is a return to Nashville for Cole, who previously worked with Cumulus Country WKDF-FM there. Cole most recently was Program Director at Clear Channel Country WPOC-FM, Baltimore.




CMG Tulsa Names Matt Ledbetter Director of Sales

Cox Media Group Tulsa Radio has named Matt Ledbetter as Director of Sales for its five-station cluster. Ledbetter will report to VP and Market Manager Gene Vidler. Ledbetter, who is currently General Sales Manager of KRMG-AM-FM and KJSR-FM, has been with CMG Tulsa for 14 years. During this time he has served as General Sales Manager of all five stations, Local Sales Manager and Account Manager. "Matt has been a big part of our successes in Tulsa," says Vidler. "His knowledge of the market and stations will help us continue to be the top radio group in Tulsa." Says Ledbetter, "I'm excited for the opportunity to lead our already successful sales team into the future."




TuneIn Forms Strategic Alliances with Major Public Broadcasters

Ray Lucia and Gary Goldberg Return to BTRN/LTRN

Jeff Weber, Consulting Operations Officer for the Business TalkRadio Network and Lifestyle TalkRadio Network, announces that two prominent shows have returned to the networks. BTRN has added the Ray Lucia Show to its weekday lineup after a nearly one year absence. The show will be distributed to BTRN's affiliates but will also continue to be syndicated by Global American Broadcasting (GAB). The program was launched on Business TalkRadio Network nearly fifteen years ago and grew to be one of the most respected financial shows in the country. Ray Lucia has made it his life's work to help thousands invest for retirement utilizing his widely recognized Bucket Strategy method for retirement. He has also been featured nationally on television shows and networks. Now in its twenty seventh year, "Money Matters with Gary Goldberg" has also returned to the Business TalkRadio Network and Lifestyle TalkRadio Network.
