John Peake Named Clear Channel San Diego VP of Programming

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment San Diego announces that John Peake has been named VP of Programming, effective February 18. In addition to his role as VP of Programming, Peake will also serve as direct Program Director for Hot AC "Star 94.1" KMYI-FM. Peake will transfer to San Diego from Clear Channel Seattle. "John is an innovator and pioneer in the industry and I am excited to welcome him to the San Diego team," said Melissa Forrest, Market President. "He brings leadership, experience and a track record of results and has been an incremental part of developing some of radio’s most enduring brands." Peake, who was most recently VP of Programming for CCME Seattle, previously was the Show Director for the syndicated "Johnjay and Rich." CCME EVP of Programming Clay Hunnicutt tells us, "At every stop along the way John has performed at a very high level, always keeping the listeners in mind. We all really look forward to him joining the team in San Diego to take this great staff and stations to even greater heights.
