Jennifer Perry Named PD at 'All News 106.7' Atlanta

Former Talk WGST-AM, Atlanta, personality and Talk WLAC-AM, Nashville, News Director Jennifer Perry has joined Cumulus Media's "All News 106.7" WYAY-FM, Atlanta, as Program Director. She most recently was sidekick to the nationally syndicated Rusty Humphries Show at WGST-AM; was News Director of WLAC-AM, Nashville; and News Anchor at WSM-AM and WWTN-AM, Nashville. Says Cumulus Corporate PD News/Talk/Sports Jim Mahanay, "We're fortunate to have someone of Jennifer's credentials to lead the team at All News 106.7. She is one of the most talented people in the news business. She brings vast experience as a journalist, anchor and administrator. She is a great fit for our all news operation in Atlanta." Perry tells us, "After nine years in the Atlanta market, I am thrilled to lead the incredible team at All News 106.7. Cumulus Media's commitment to news has impressed me, and I look forward to building All News 106.7's reputation as the number one source for news and information in Atlanta." In her new position, Perry replaces Marshall Adams, who left last fall after only five months on the job.




Will Calder Joins Miami's 'Power 96' for Middays, APD

Will Calder joins Beasley Rhythmic CHR "Power 96" WPOW-FM, Miami, as Assistant PD and midday host. Calder is now on the job, reporting to "Power 96" Program Director Pio Ferro, arriving from New York City, where he most recently was Production Director, Assistant Music Director and an on-air personality at "92.3 Now" WNOW-FM. Says Ferro, "They always say, ‘Surround yourself with the best people you can.’ Will Calder has amazing programming, production and on-air skills. He’s also one of the nicest guys in the business. I’m very happy to welcome him to the Power 96 family." Calder adds, "I'm beyond excited to join this truly talented team at this legendary radio station. It's been amazing so far to get to know the passionate people that listen to Power 96 and to be a part of their daily routine. Samuel Rogers Named Radio One VP of National Sales

Samuel Rogers joins Radio One as VP of National Sales, bringing more than 30 years of experience managing sales, marketing, programming, and operations in the broadcasting industry. Most recently with Cumulus Media as both a Market Manager and VP of Political and Platform Sales, Rogers previously was with CBS Radio for 23 years advancing from Local Sales Manager to SVP and Market Manager. At Radio One, Rogers will report to Chris Wegmann. "We are very pleased that Sam is now on our team," says Wegmann. "His lengthy proven track record in the DC market and on a national level makes him a great fit for this new position here at Radio One. Under his leadership we will see more coordinated efforts from all of our radio markets and digital platforms to move us to the next level with our national clients." As VP of National Sales, Rogers "will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the opportunities for advertisers to reach a national audience through Radio One's national footprint." Premiere Networks Announces Distribution Deal with 'Hollywood' Hamilton

Premiere Networks enters into an exclusive distribution agreement with Sean "Hollywood" Hamilton. Effective February 1, Premiere Networks will syndicate Hamilton’s three programs -- "The Remix Top 30 Countdown with Hollywood Hamilton", "Weekend Top 30 with Hollywood Hamilton" and "Weekend Top 30 with Ramiro." The radio shows will also be heard on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio mobile app. Says Hamilton, "My staff and I are incredibly excited to finally be working with such an accomplished team at Premiere Networks. Our music countdown platforms have been delivering quality programming for over 10 years and now it’s time to take them to a whole new level." Donovan McNabb Joins NBC Sports Radio

Newly retired NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb joins NBC Sports Radio as a contributor, according to an announcement from Dial Global and the NBC Sports Group. The six-time Pro Bowl quarterback began his career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He will serve as an NFL lead analyst for NBC Sports Radio shows throughout the week and will also call in weekly to affiliated stations. McNabb will also be part of NBC Sports Radio's programming features on Super Bowl Radio Row this week in New Orleans. Also, we're told, he "will play a big part in a soon-to-be-announced daily talk program, that will debut April 1 as the network expands its programming lineup. Says McNabb, "As I continue to segue further into the broadcasting field, adding a radio relationship like Dial Global and NBC Sports Radio is the perfect next step. This platform allows me a weekly forum to communicate with fans on a personal basis and I'm excited for the opportunity." Dial Global EVP/GM Chris Corcoran adds, "Adding a former star player like Donovan McNabb just adds another key ingredient to the exciting lineup we're building with NBC Sports Radio. College Sports Broadcaster Tim Brando Joins SiriusXM

SiriusXM announces that it will be the new radio home of the "Tim Brando Show," the national Sports Talk show hosted by college sports broadcaster Tim Brando. The Tim Brando Show will air nationwide weekdays 9am-12noon ET, starting February 4, on SiriusXM College Sports Nation (channel 91). The show, which will air on radio exclusively on SiriusXM, will cover the world of sports, with a focus on college athletics, featuring an array of compelling guests, topics and commentary. "I'm thrilled to have our show on SiriusXM College Sports Nation," says Brando. "We are celebrating our 12th anniversary of the Tim Brando Show this week; this new affiliation with SiriusXM ensures us maximum exposure to loyal college sports fans across the country." Pamela McKay Named Corporate Exec of the Year

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Austin Market President Pamela McKay will be presented with the African American Corporate Executive of the Year Award by the Capitol City African American Chamber of Commerce. The award is presented to an individual who holds a senior level management position with a company headquartered, or with corporate presence, in Austin. McKay will receive the award at a gala on February 22, at the Capitol City African American Chamber of Commerce and include keynote remarks from Olympic Champion, Athlete, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Sanya Richards Ross.




Behind the Microphone: The Ins and Outs of Radio

AC WJBR-FM, Wilmington, Delaware, Program Director and aternoon host Brian DeMay has exited, a casualty of budget cuts ... Chris Baker returns from Houston to Omaha to be afternoon host at Talk "NewsRadio 1110" KFAB-AM, starting February 11. Most recently Baker was at Talk KSEV-AM, Houston ... Longtime All News WTOP-FM, Washington DC, News Anchor Richard Day has retired. But you may not have heard about it. A memo to staff from VP of News and Programming Jim Farley says that Day didn't want "a farewell in the newsroom, a cake or even an announcement before his last day." Day joined WTOP in 1985 ... Rhythmic CHR "Jam’n 94.5" WJMN-FM, Boston, is adding Ashlee Feldman to its "Ramiro’s House" morning show. She's best known from her time on MTV’s "Real World," but she also has previous radio experience since the reality series .... Classic Hits WCBS-FM, New York APD/MD and overnight host Lenny Block exits after a total of eight years, including the hiatus from Classic Hits at "101 CBS FM" ... Former Hot AC WALK-FM, Long Island, night host Maria Garcia returns to the station for part-time on-air duties ... Alternative "FM 94/9" KBZT-FM, San Diego, promotes Music Director and night host Jeremy Pritchard to Assistant PD and afternoons. Afternoon host Hansen segues to focusing on Imaging and Commercial Production, but will also do fills on-air as needed. Weekender Christy Carter will take nights for now.
